Ruda Tanzania - Charity Auction

The Namanditi art auction event on Friday the 27th November was a spectacular occasion with the offices of One Solution transformed by lights, music and of course wonderful art on the walls. Almost 80 percent of the art work was sold on the night and the buyers were clearly delighted with their investments. The staff at One Solution worked hard to make the night a success and joined in the bidding for art work. Our auctioneer Alistair Logan made the whole evening go with a swing and the audience clearly enjoyed his banter.

We are still waiting for the final total raised but anticipate that we have raised around £19,000 for the Namanditi School. This will go a long way to securing the success of this worthwhile project and guarantees that the first phase of the school building will be able to open early next year. The young children from the local villages who we met with in the summer will be so happy to start school.

Most importantly we would like to thank all the artists who gifted their art work to this project and all our friends who came along and supported the event. We would also like to thank Ken Anderson of One Solution for covering all the costs associated with the auction and so guaranteeing that all funds raised will go towards the building and equipping of the Ntimbanjayo Progressive School of Excellence at Namanditi, Tanzania.
